VDI infrastructure with VirtualStorm presented at CEBIT
Up to 90 % cost savings with more efficient technologies
"Installing a large application takes half a minute Loading it takes even less
Arista Networks 7124 10G Ethernet switch does not even blink and continues forwarding traffic at unprecedented rates whilst being installed modestly on top of some boxes behind posh storage system racks in which it could not be installed for physical constraints."

"During the CeBit 2010 we managed to reach a number of extremes. Not only were we able to get vCenter to reach new heights, we also pushed the envelope on system densities." Please read here the article.
VirtualStorm aims to solve density, storage size and IOPS issues for VDI, allowing up to tenfold the densities on virtualization platforms. The technology not only applies to Virtual Desktops, but also to Virtual Servers. With the growth in compute power and memory sizes for servers, the densities of VirtualStorm will go beyond a thousand virtual machines per physical server.
These extreme numbers also require extreme storage IO and sufficient bandwidths on interconnects. Large systems will provide that, however, new developments happen all the time. Since VirtualStorm is hardware agnostic, it can make use of the latest and greatest of storage and connection technologies, such as GreenBytes, Whiptail and Arista, allowing for high speed desktops at a fraction of costs.
